Oxford Global

A website for the pharmaceutical industry to generate leads and business opportunities, drive subscriptions and create a scalable digital platform to support future content expansion and audience growth.

The Challenge

The biopharma industry moves fast, and professionals need consistent access to insights, innovations, and connections year-round, not just during conference season. Oxford Global required a website to keep their community engaged throughout the year, convert free users to paying subscribers and manage four different content types across three distinct brands. The team required a flexible access model to offer both free resources and premium paid subscriptions within an extensive library of video content.

The Solution

Development of three separate brand-specific platforms. Using Laravel as the core platform, we developed a streamlined subscription system with integrated CRM capabilities for lead management and conversion tracking. Functionality for live webinars using a direct Zoom integration and Q&A moderation, with a simplified registration system for subscribers and non-subscribers.

Multi-Site Architecture

Rather than building one unified platform, we chose to create three separate websites for each brand (Precision Medicine, Next Gen Biomed, Discovery & Development). This architectural decision provides greater flexibility for each brand's unique needs and future evolution. The aim is to allow distinct user experiences and customised functionality while maintaining shared technical infrastructure and administrative processes.

Technology Platform Selection

We chose Laravel over WordPress for its superior adaptability and custom functionality. Laravel's modern PHP architecture, robust APIs, and flexible database relationships were ideal for this complex multi-brand content management and subscription system.

User Experience Design

To maximise content visibility in limited screen space, we implemented tabbed interfaces that let users access multiple content types without scrolling. We used strategic sizing, colour, and positioning to create clear visual hierarchy. The four main content types (Market Insights, Technology Showcases, Thought Leadership, and News) maintain visual variety for easy differentiation whilst sharing consistent design elements for brand unity.

Seamless Integration Capabilities

We integrated the Zoom webinar platform for live Thought Leadership sessions with professional features including moderated Q&A and automated registration management. HubSpot CRM integration automatically captures all user interactions, content consumption patterns, and subscription lifecycle events directly into the client's existing workflows. This enables sophisticated lead scoring and personalised outreach strategies.
